Registry Architecture

The QR-V™ registry is the authoritative data layer that stores and resolves verification records.
It separates identifiers from records and ensures that all verification results are derived from canonical, auditable data.



Role of the Registry

The registry functions as the system of record for all QR-V™ identifiers and verification objects.

  • Stores canonical records
  • Maintains lifecycle state (active, revoked, expired)
  • Provides deterministic lookup responses
  • Supports auditability and traceability

Verification outcomes are derived from registry data rather than presentation layers or user-controlled endpoints.

Data Model



Each registry entry represents a structured verification record.

  • record_id — unique identifier
  • issuer_id — issuing entity reference
  • record_type — certificate, product, document, etc.
  • status — active, revoked, expired
  • metadata — structured record data
  • hash — integrity reference
  • timestamps — lifecycle tracking fields

Records are stored independently from QR representations and are accessed through verification workflows.

  1. QR code is scanned

Lifecycle Management
